Community Forestry Outreach Meeting

March 29, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

The City of Claremont is developing an Urban Forest Management Plan for City-maintained trees. The goal is to create a healthy and sustainable urban forest that is properly managed and cared for, benefitting Claremont citizens with improved economic and environmental well-being, increasing public safety, and enabling the City to provide cost effective maintenance while following industry standards.

An Urban Forest Management Plan is a roadmap that creates a shared vision for the future of our trees. It’s a tailored plan that will guide tree care professionals to proactively and effectively manage and provide for maximum, long-term benefits to the community. In addition to tree planting and maintenance recommendations, procedures, and standards, the plan will gather public input and address public outreach and education to ensure that the City’s efforts are aligned with the community.

Light refreshments provided. Bring your ideas!
