CalBG’s family bird festival takes flight February 16

California Botanic Garden and Pomona Valley Audubon Society host the 2025 family bird festival from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, February 16 at 1500 N. College Ave., Claremont.
The event includes educational activities, live birds, crafts, games, food trucks and booths from the San Dimas Canyon Nature Center, Alf Museum of Paleontology, Cal Poly Pomona Urban Wildlife Lab, Wild Birds Unlimited, the San Bernardino County Museum, the American Museum of Ceramic Art, and others. Folks can also get involved with the great backyard bird count or snap a photo for CalBG’s 2025 bird photography contest.
The festival is included with the day’s CalBG admission and free for CalBG members and non-members under age 3. Admission for non-member adults is $15, seniors and students $11, and children ages 3 to 12 $5. Tickets and info are at calbg.org.
