Claremont City Council recognized several Claremont Community Emergency Response Team volunteers that responded to the Eaton Fire in Altadena earlier this year at its June 24 meeting.

“Their participation helped streamline the [aid] process, reducing confusion and allowing affected residents to receive the necessary support without unnecessary delays,” said Diana Manzano-Garcia, area coordinator for Disaster Management Area D, which includes Claremont. “They acted as a bridge between community members and available resources, ensuring that everyone received the appropriate assistance with dignity and respect.”

For their efforts, the California Emergency Services Association, Southern Chapter, gave the team its silver award. Learn more about Claremont CERT at claremontcert.org.
