At press time, four Claremont Little League All-Star baseball teams remained alive in their respective tournaments.
9-year-olds (2-0)
Claremont’s 9-year-olds beat Glendora American, 7-1, June 28 at Marchant Park in San Dimas. On Tuesday the team walloped San Dimas, 17-6. They played Glendora National after press time on Thursday.

10-year-olds (4-1)
Claremont’s 10-year-olds are District 20 champions. The team faced a must-win game with La Verne on June 26 in the double-elimination tournament at Pelota Park in La Verne, and came through with a 6-4 victory, setting up the June 27 title game, which Claremont won, 3-2.
Claremont will play the District 23 champions in the first round of the Section 3 tournament at 4:30 p.m. July 10 at Cortez Park, 2441 E. Cortez St., West Covina.
11-year-olds (2-1)
The 11s began their postseason June 27 as 14-3 winners over La Verne at George Manooshian Park in Glendora, then lost to Glendora American, 4-2, on Monday. The team keep their District 20 title hopes alive Tuesday, edging Glendora National 5-3, and squared off again with Glendora American after press time Thursday.
12-year-olds (3-0)
The 12s are red hot. Following the team’s 17-0 rout of San Dimas June 23 at Claremont’s College Park, Pomona American suffered the same fate, another 17-0 loss on June 26. The team then easily handled Glendora American, 10-3, on Monday, earning a chance at the District 20 title in a game that took place after press time Wednesday against Glendora American or La Verne. If Claremont wins that game, the title is theirs. A loss would force them into a title game on Thursday.

13-year-olds (2-2)
The 13s, the only team in District 20 to get automatic entry to the Section 3 tournament, beat Baldwin Park, 7-4, on June 24, lost the following day to Upland National, 12-2, defeated Baldwin Park again June 26, 22-10, then lost to Upland National, 6-2, in the Section 3 title game, ending their postseason.
