CPD to carry Special Olympics flame, raise money for games

Members of the Claremont Police Department will participate in the 2023 Special Olympics Southern California Torch Run fundraiser Thursday, June 8, running with the Olympic flame from Claremont to La Verne Police Department, at 2061 3rd St.

Donations at secure2.convio.net support Special Olympics Southern California and provide equipment, uniforms, and training for athletes. Visit sosc.org/letr for more info.

The annual torch run comes ahead of the 2023 summer games championship, set for June 10 and June 11 at California State University, Long Beach. Visit sosc.org for more details.
