Foothill Gold Line Light Rail update with Lisa Levy Buch
Residents are invited to come learn about the planning for the Foothill Gold Line during a presentation by Lisa Levy Buch, chief communications officer of the Foothill Gold Line Construction Authority.
Ms. Buch will present project elements in Claremont and what to expect as the project moves to construction at a community meeting on Monday, September 18 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Pomona College, Hahn 101, 420 N. College Ave.
The Foothill Gold Line Construction Authority is an independent transportation agency responsible for planning, designing and building the Metro Gold Line light rail system—altogether, a $3 billion infrastructure investment program in the county of Los Angeles.
The third segment of the line from Glendora to Montclair, including the Claremont station, will break ground in December; making it the first Measure M-funded rail line to move to construction.
The meeting, which is sponsored by sponsored by Sustainable Claremont, the League of Women Voters and the Interfaith Sustainability Council, is free and open to all.
