Cal Poly Pomona offering free income tax prep
Internal Revenue Service certified Cal Poly Pomona students and alumni provide free income tax assistance at Pomona Public Library, 625 S. Garey Ave., from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Saturday through April 12.
The volunteer income tax assistance clinics, sponsored by the IRS and California Franchise Tax Board, have been active since 2015 and have resulted in more than $6 million in tax refunds, according to a press release.
Participants must have a gross income under $60,000 to be eligible. The threshold does not apply to active duty military or veterans.
