Ophelia’s Jump announces 2023 season

Upland-based nonprofit theater group Ophelia’s Jump Productions has announced its 2023 season.

The musical “Well-Behaved Women,” with songs by Broadway musical director and arranger Carmel Dean, will run from February 11 to March 12.

From April 1 to May 7, OJP will showcase Karen Zacarías’s comedy, “Native Gardens.” “Cultures and gardens clash, turning well-intentioned neighbors into feuding enemies,” read the show’s description.

On July 13, 15, 21 and 23, OJP mounts William Shakespeare’s “Measure for Measure” as part of its Shakesbeer Festival. General admission to each show is $28, and festival passes are $65.

“Pirates of Penzance” hits the OJP stage July 14, 16, 20 and 22.

“Deadly,” from playwright and lyricist Vanessa Stewart, with music by Ryan Thomas Johnson, runs September 23 to October 29.

Ophelia’s Jump will close out 2023 with the premiere of Jean Collinsworth’s “Sealed Orders” from November 24 to December 9.

General admission varies, but generally starts at $35. College students with I.D. are usually $25. Most Thursdays are “pay what you can/pay it forward,” with a $15 minimum.

Ophelia’s Jump is at 2009 Porterfield Way, Suite I, Upland. The theater is open one hour prior to performances. For more information visit opheliasjump.org/2023-season.
