Boys and girls wrestling

Results from the February 17 and 18 California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section Masters tournament: for the boys, senior Simon Bachman did not place in 182-pound weight class. For the girls, freshman Lauren Malvitz did not place in the 189.

Baseball

Results from the Saints Tournament: on February 16, Claremont hosted Carter and notched a 9-1 win. The team then lost a close one at Moreno Valley, 6-5, on Monday.

Results from the South Hills Tournament: the team fell 3-0 at home against South Hills on February 18. Claremont played host to Charter Oak Wednesday and lost, 8-2.

The Wolfpack is now 2-5. Next up is Diamond Bar at home at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 4.

Softball

The Wolfpack lost, 12-1, at Upland on February 16 to cap Upland Tournament play. Tuesday’s home game against Western Christian was canceled and will not count toward the team’s record, which is 2-2 as of Wednesday.

The Pack traveled to Don Lugo after press time Thursday and visits Glendora 3:30 p.m. Thursday, March 2.

Boys golf

Claremont opens the season at Los Serranos Golf Course at 8 a.m. Monday, February 27 for the Ayala Tournament.

Boys volleyball

Results from the February 18 Portola Tournament: the Pack lost 2-0 to Marina, then University compounded the pain with another 2-0 loss. Claremont then bounced back, beating La Habra, 2-0, and then hosts Portola, 2-1.

On Wednesday, CHS hosted Crescent Valley. The Pack then travels for two matches with Foothill Santa Ana, 3 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday, in the Foothill Tournament, before hosting Downey at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Boys tennis

Claremont snagged a 15-3 victory over Palm Desert at home February 16 to begin the preseason. The team hosted Diamond Bar after press time Thursday and will next welcome Peninsula at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 28.

Boys and girls swim and dive

The teams hosted Covina on Wednesday. On Saturday, the teams travel to Riverside Poly for a 9 a.m. meet, then hosts Upland at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 1.

Boys and girls track and field
Claremont travels to Glendora Thursday, March 2. The first event is set for 3:30 p.m.

 

The Webb Schools

Baseball

The Gauls tied, 10-10, at home against Southlands Christian on February 16. Webb is now 1-0-1. On Saturday, February 25, the Gauls are at Avalon for a doubleheader.

Boys golf

The team will be at the San Dimas Canyon Golf Course to face West Covina at 3 p.m. Tuesday, February 28.

Boys volleyball

On Saturday, February 25, the Gauls host Don Lugo at 8 a.m. to kick off the Webb Volleyball Tournament. The team hosts West Covina at 4 p.m. Tuesday, February 28.

Boys tennis

Webb beat Sierra Vista at home, 16-2, on February 16 to kick off their season. On Friday, the team welcomes Covina, followed by Garey on Tuesday, February 28. Both matches begin at 3:15 p.m.

Coed badminton

Webb begins its season at Pasadena Poly at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 28.

Boys and girls swim and dive

The Gauls start their preseason Friday, hosting Chino at 3 p.m. On Thursday, March 2, Webb hosts a 3 p.m. league cluster.

Boys and girls track and field
Montclair, Northview and Arrowhead Christian Academy come to Webb on Friday, March 3, with the first event set for 2:30 p.m.
