CHS boys soccer remain perfect in league play

The Claremont High School varsity boys soccer team remained perfect in Sierra League play after edging out the Chino Hills Huskies on Wednesday night for its 7th league win without a loss, 2-1. Shane Hewitt and Denes Kantor, who both scored for CHS in the win, led the Wolfpack.

Claremont goalie Sam Newton was busy at the net, recording 7 saves that included a diving save that prevented a goal attempt by Chino Hills’ Joey Santana early in the game. The full story of Wednesday’s game will be in Saturday’s edition of the COURIER.
