Girls tennis captures top rank after defeating Ayala

Claremont High School’s girls varsity tennis stunned three-time Palomares League defending champions, Ayala High School 11-7 on Thursday in Chino Hills. The Pack’s doubles teams led the way winning 6 of 9 sets. CHS’ number one singles player freshman Goldie La won all three of her singles sets and freshmen Jahday Drewery and Caren Uribe (Fr.) added one singles set each to round out the 11 total sets won. CHS moves to 4-0 in league play and 5-2 on the season. The Pack will finish off the first round of league play at home on Tuesday when they host Diamond Bar.
