Girls soccer, water polo claim league titles. Basketball advances

Claremont High School girls soccer and water polo both captured Palomares League titles late last week.

Girls water polo traveled to Alta Loma on Thursday and buried the Braves 19-0. The Pack finished the regular season with a 10-0 league record, 22-4-0 overall, and will host the winner of a wild card game in the first round of the CIF Division 3 tournament on Wednesday at 5 p.m.

Soccer also had a perfect 10-0 record after defeating Ayala, 4-0, at home on Wednesday. They will host Camarillo in the first round of the CIF Division 2 playoffs also on Wednesday at 5 p.m.

Boys and girls basketball defeated Ayala on Thursday and will each be traveling for the first round of the CIF playoffs. The boys will be at Highland on Friday and the girls will travel to San Gabriel on Thursday. Both games are at 7 p.m.
