Girls soccer advances to CIF quarterfinals.
Claremont girls soccer keeps marching through the Division 2 CIF Southern Section Girls Soccer Championships with a 4-0 win over Warren on Saturday in Claremont. On paper the game was supposed to be close however Claremont showed its dominance with a 2-0 margin at the half that the girls doubled at the end.
Last Thursday the Pack easily pushed aside Lakewood, 6-0, in the first round.
Claremont wasted little time showing their dominance when sophomore Maddie Coles got the Pack’s first goal, off a corner kick, in the first two minutes. Claremont would add two more goals before ten minutes had elapsed, sealing Lakewood’s fate. In all Coles would get three goals earning an unofficial MVP title.
