And take that!!!

The first snow of the winter season Saturday started with a bang, with snow levels reaching Mt. Baldy Village as low as 4000 feet. That meant icy roads Monday morning, with most traffic stopping before the switchbacks starting at Ice House Canyon. Most of the snow fell above 7000 feet, with only a few inches at lower elevations. In Claremont, the temperatures barely reached 50 degrees, as the weekend storm finally blew through leaving cold and wind. That’s also going to leave cool temperatures all week with highs in the low 60s, 40s at night. Only a slight chance of rain is in the forecast. COURIER photo/Peter Weinebrger
