Police blotter 11-6-20

The Claremont Police Department received a 2:30 p.m. call regarding a possibly intoxicated man sitting in a black truck parked in the Vons parking lot at 550 E. Base Line Rd. Arriving officers interviewed Francisco Flores, a 35-year-old La Puente man, and confirmed the caller’s suspicions. Mr. Flores was arrested for public intoxication, held for detox, and later released without charges.
Police were called to city hall, 207 Harvard Ave., at 10 p.m. regarding two people involved in a voluble dispute. They allege one of the combatants, a 33-year-old homeless man, was drunk. They arrested him for public intoxication and for three outstanding warrants, one from San Bernardino County and two from Claremont. He was cited for the San Bernardino warrant, but held on the Claremont warrants. He spent two days in the Claremont jail before appearing in Pomona Superior Court Friday, October 30.
Monday, November 2
Claremont police cruising near Towne Ave. and Foothill Blvd. ran the plates of a red GMC truck at 11:30 a.m. It had been reported stolen, so they pulled over the driver, Cassondra Rodriguez, 28, from Pomona. She was arrested without incident for felony grand theft auto, and for two warrants from Pomona. Ms. Rodriguez was booked and issued a citation on the felony grand theft auto charge before Pomona police took custody of her and transported her to their jail to face charges on the warrants.
