A plume of smoke rises above the foothills west of Claremont Saturday evening as the Ranch Fire 2 burns in Azusa Canyon. According to KNX radio, the fire has grown to 1,500 acres and has zero percent containment at this time. The fire apparently was started intentionally but is moving away from populated areas.
