On Saturday, May 23, the Claremont Presbyterian Church will hold a “Drive-Thru Food (and Supplies) Drive” from 1 to 4 p.m. in the church parking lot, 1111 N. Mountain Ave., Claremont.
The collection will benefit Inland Valley Hope Partners. Of greatest need are toilet paper, sanitizer, Lysol, cleaning products and dish soap. Personal sundries are also in need such as shampoo, soap, sanitary pads or tampons, toothpaste, toothbrush, disposable razors, lotion and dental floss.
Any kind of canned, boxed or bagged food are welcome, including and especially canned tuna, chicken or meat, beans, canned or boxed soup and stews, nuts, rice, beans, oatmeal, pasta, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, cooking oils, canned veggies and canned fruits.
The community is asked to bring donations to the church parking lot from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday May 23. Donors can unload supplies themselves (no contact) or simply pop open your trunk or door and a masked volunteer will remove the items.
