On Sunday, January 26 a Pomona man was arrested days after he allegedly committed a strong-arm robbery at Sprouts. At approximately 4:30 p.m., a man was seen leaving the store with miscellaneous groceries without paying for them. The manager tried to chase him down, but the suspect, later identified as 59-year-old Wayne Ross, backed into a motorized shopping cart, which in turn hit the manager. Mr. Ross allegedly sped away, but was found and arrested on suspicion of robbery in Pomona on Tuesday.
