Burglar steals lottery tickets from Claremont gas station
Police are looking for a burglar who broke into a Claremont gas station and stole lottery tickets early Monday morning.
Officers responded to the Chevron gas station at 267 south Indian Hill Boulevard around 4:13 a.m. regarding alarm activation, police said. Once they arrived, they noticed the front glass door had been shattered and lottery tickers were scattered on the ground.
The suspect wasn’t located, but surveillance footage from the station showed him inside the business for about a minute, police said. He was described as an African-American man wearing a blue hoodie with a red dog and white letters on the back, gray sweatpants and white shoes.
An unknown amount of scratcher lottery tickets was stolen, police said. Anyone with information should call the Claremont Police Department at (909) 399-5411.
