Attendees at Claremont’s Memorial Day service place their hands over their hearts as the National Anthem is played on Monday in Memorial Park. The annual service, which is sponsored by both the City of Claremont and the American Legion Post 78,  included remarks from Mayor Corey Calaycay, a special interview with World War II veteran Joe Castorina and concluded with the playing of Taps.
