Police blotter 11-30-18
Tuesday, November 20
Police allege Brett Campos-Pardue, 19, of Eastvale, tried to cash a false check in the amount of $891.82 at the EZ Cash on the 400 block of Auto Center Drive on June 27. Mr. Campos-Pardue was eventually located and arrested in Wildomar on November 20, Lt. Jason Walters of the Claremont Police Department said. He is being charged with commercial burglary and passing a fictitious check.

Around 12:15 p.m., an officer on foot on the 1000 block of east Foothill Boulevard happened upon 24-year-old Noe Garza, who allegedly gave the officer a false name and was in possession of a meth pipe. He also reportedly had a warrant out of La Verne. Mr. Garza was arrested and taken to CPD jail.

Someone broke a Master lock to a maintenance shed at the Claremont Village Apartments on Arrow Highway between 5 p.m. on November 20 and 8 a.m. on November 21. A saw worth around $400 was taken, Lt. Walters said. No suspect information was available.

A car parked at the Evey Canyon turnout was broken into between 3:30 and 5 p.m. The thief smashed a passenger window, taking a backpack containing a wallet, credit cards, gift cards and other personal items totaling around $350. The cards were then used in Upland, Lt. Walters said. No suspect information was available.
Wednesday, November 21
Police arrested 22-year-old Angelica Villarreal after catching her behind the wheel of a stolen car. Around 4 p.m., officers pulled over the blue 1994 Toyota Camry on the 2500 block of Towne Avenue after determining it was reported stolen out of Pomona. In addition to grand theft auto charges, Ms. Villarreal was allegedly in possession of shaved keys, a meth pipe and a warrant. She was arrested and taken to CPD jail.

Another car was broken into at the Evey Canyon turnout. Between 3:45 and 5:45 p.m., the suspect shattered a window and took an unknown amount of property before fleeing undetected.

A Running Springs man was arrested on suspicion of DUI after crashing his car near Mt. Baldy Road and Padua Avenue. Police allege 32-year-old Nicholas Meisner was traveling southbound on Mt. Baldy Road around 8:30 p.m., drifted into the northbound lanes and crashed into a mountainside. When police arrived, they determined Mr. Meisner was driving under the influence, Lt. Walters said. He was arrested.
Thursday, November 22
Two more cars were broken into at the Evey Canyon turnout. One car was broken into between 1 and 2:20 p.m., when the unknown thief smashed the driver’s side window and took a wallet containing a license and credit cards, which were used to make online purchases, Lt. Walters said.
The second car was burglarized between 12:15 and 2:30 p.m. The suspect entered the unlocked car and took registration and insurance info from the glove box. There is no suspect information.
Friday, November 23
Two people were arrested on multiple charges at Yale and Eighth Street. Around 7:15 a.m., police ran a check on a black 2007 Acura and found it was reported stolen, Lt. Walters said. The driver, 19-year-old Caitlyn Wright of Ontario, was allegedly in possession of a meth pipe, and a passenger, 20-year-old Albert Lara of Chino, had a warrant out of San Bernardino County and was in possession of an unknown drug for sale. Both were arrested and taken to CPD jail.

Another stolen car was found and recovered. Around 4:45 p.m., police found a car that was reported stolen on November 9 out of Hawthorne. The driver, 35-year-old Desmond Wade of Los Angeles, was also wanted by the LAPD. He was arrested without incident on suspicion of grand theft auto.

Another car in Evey Canyon was broken into, the fifth such burglary in four days. Between 6:20 and 8:20 a.m., the unknown suspect smashed the back window of the victim’s car, taking a black book bag containing bibles, books and binders. Police are investigating.
Saturday, November 24
A Montclair man was arrested at the Claremont Colleges for possessing burglary tools. Campus Safety found 24-year-old Allen Stabile after he was observed standing by the bike racks at 350 N. College Way. Claremont police arrived and allegedly found burglary tools of an unknown description.

A Pomona man was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence near Wheeler Park. Luis Gomez, 53, was reportedly arguing with a 43-year-old woman near the park around 4:30 p.m., when he then sped off in his car, causing the woman to fall and suffer lacerations and abrasions to her knees and left shoulder, Lt. Walters said. She refused medical attention at the scene, and Mr. Gomez was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence and assault with a deadly weapon.
Sunday, November 25
Police are investigating a tagging incident at the police station. Between 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., someone tagged “PACER” in white paint on the front of the station, Lt. Walters said. Similar tagging was found on First Street. Police are currently reviewing surveillance footage for any leads or suspect identification.
