La Verne to celebrate opening of new residence, dining halls
The University of La Verne will celebrate the grand opening of its new residence and dining hall with a ceremony on September 6.
The celebration for Citrus Hall and The Spot Dining Hall will be from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at 2043 D St. in La Verne and will include a ribbon cutting in the Citrus Hall courtyard.
Parking will be available in the parking structure just south of Citrus Hall.
The five-story, nearly 115,000-square-foot residence hall consists of three wings interconnected by wide corridors and three elevators. The 18,700-square-foot dining hall is attached.
Both facilities were designed by the firm of Steinberg Hart after listening to students’ comments. They form the hub of an emerging student village on the heart of campus.
Founded in 1891, the University of La Verne serves more than 8,400 students at the La Verne location as well as across nine regional campuses.
