As Claremonters prepare for a fabulous Fourth of July, the Claremont Police Department is reminding residents that all fireworks are illegal in the City of Trees.

The reasons, according to a release from the police, include an increased fire danger to the dry and brittle hillsides above town and potential harm to young children.
