Great-grandmother, homemaker, bridge enthusiast

Nancy Ann Baylor Little died May 26 in Bozeman, Montana at the age of 92.

She was born on January 23, 1926 to Georgia Tuttle and Fahy Blymyer Baylor of Lincoln, Nebraska.

She was educated at Sheridan School and Irvine Junior High in Lincoln, Abbot Academy of Andover, Massachusetts, and the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. A history professor let her skip a final exam so that she might wed her beloved husband, Edward Little, of Marlborough, Massachusetts, on June 7, 1947.

The couple first resided in Hanover, New Hampshire, where their daughter Deborah was born, then in Cleveland, Ohio, where Eliza, John, Lawrence and Marcia followed. Lastly, Kate arrived after moving to Claremont.

It was in Claremont that the large family enjoyed “the good life” in a great community with fun neighbors and wonderful Fourth of July celebrations. During 60 years of marriage Ms. Little was an avid homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning and entertaining, as well as playing bridge with friends. She maintained high standards of honesty, love and loyalty, her family noted.

Her husband Edward and son John preceded her in death.

She is survived by her remaining children, 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She will be lovingly remembered by family and friends.
