Village businesses still without power as outage continues
The power continues to be out for many Village businesses Friday, as a planned maintenance outage has taken longer to fix.
About 108 customers are currently affected by the outage, which stretches as far north as Harrison Avenue in the Village. Businesses such as the Cheese Cave, Chase and Bank of America are closed as the outage continues.
The outage was originally supposed to be over by early Friday morning.
The Southern California Edison website claims “upgrading equipment” is the reason for the outage. The estimated restoration time is “currently being re-evaluated,” according to Edison.
The outage is part of the ongoing vault replacement work, which has Second Street from Yale Avenue to Indian Hill Boulevard closed since January.
