Burglars break into WaBa Grill, leave with nothing
Police are looking for two burglars who were seen smashing the front glass of WaBa Grill early Thursday morning.
One of the two burglars shattered the front glass door of the business on the 400 block of Auto Center Drive around 2 a.m., the Claremont Police Department said in a press release. Surveillance footage from the scene showed the two men quickly looking around the restaurant before leaving empty-handed.
The suspects were in the restaurant for approximately 50 seconds, police said. Nothing was taken from the restaurant, and police said this was because the restaurant emptied their cash registers and the safe before leaving.
Both suspects were described as male of unknown race or age, about five feet, 10 inches tall, with thin to medium builds. Both were wearing hooded sweatshirts with their faces covered.
One suspect was wearing dark colored pants and the other was wearing light-colored plaid pajama pants, police said. A getaway vehicle was not seen.
Police are asking nearby businesses who have surveillance cameras to review them for the time frame and contact the Claremont Police Department at (909) 399-5411 with any information.
