A memorial service celebrating the life of longtime Claremont resident and Claremont COURIER owner Janis Weinberger will be held at the Joslyn Senior Center this Sunday, April 2 at 1 p.m. The service is open to the public for those who wish to be part of this special remembrance held in the Janis McMaken Weinberger wing at Joslyn, on the south side of the campus. After the ceremony, food and drinks will be served in the main meal area at the center. Janis spent decades advocating for seniors, while helping the COURIER flourish from the very first day the Weinbergers took over the newspaper in 1955.
