Plant a tree, make a difference in Claremont
Community services and Sustainable Claremont will kick off the city’s annual reforestation program by hosting its largest volunteer-based tree planting event, “Making a Difference,” on Saturday, March 25 from 8 a.m. to noon at June Vail Park. Everyone is welcome.
The event will begin at 8 a.m. with a short presentation and tree planting demonstration. Groups will then be paired with city staff and assigned street trees to be planted in the general area of June Vail Park. The majority of the plantings will occur on streets adjacent to the park. Transportation to nearby planting locations may be necessary. All sites are within a half-mile radius of the park.
