Community meeting to address Pooch Park restoration project
City staff would like feedback from neighbors of Pooch Park, as well as park patrons, regarding plans to upgrade the park.
A special community meeting to discuss the project will be held on Thursday, September 29 at 6:30 p.m. at the Blaisdell Center, located at 440 S. College Ave.
In 2017, the city of Claremont will initiate a restoration project at Pooch Park, the off-leash dog area located within College Park.
The project will address soil compaction issues and inadequate drainage experienced at the site. The project will include updated irrigation technology to improve efficiency and water conservation, as well as installation of new turf. The city invites residents to provide feedback regarding the park’s current condition and to help determine priorities for the project.
Questions or comments should be directed to the Community Services Department at (909) 399-5431.
