Threesome arrested after checking into Claremont hotel
On Thursday, May 19 police arrested three people after they checked into the DoubleTree Hotel using false ID. Officers arrived around 11:10 a.m. after three people—34-year-old Marian Arias from Corona, 33-year-old Jessica Lanier from Azusa and 36-year-old Jason Baker from Whitter—checked in with what the reception suspected were fraudulent credit cards and identification. When police arrived at their room, the trio tried to escape through the sliding glass door into the parking lot. They were captured before they could get to their car. They were in possession of a number of fake credit cards and ID cards in other people’s names. The threesome was arrested for various outstanding warrants, identity theft, and procession of a controlled substance.
