Help Inland Valley clear their shelter this Saturday
On Saturday, August 15, the Inland Valley Humane Society & SPCA (IVHS) will be holding a first-of-its-kind pet adoption event “Clear the Shelters.” On this national day of action, IVHS will offer a reduced adoption fee of $20, which includes a spay or neuter, age appropriate vaccines, microchip and flea treatment.
Local sponsor VCA Animal Hospitals will have veterinarians and health care teams onsite, offering a limited health guarantee and gift bag filled with pet essentials.
The goal is to find homes for every available pet at the shelter. This year is going to be a milestone for the Inland Valley Humane Society & SPCA as the shelter kick’s off its Getting 2 Zero goal of ending the euthanasia of healthy and treatable animals. IVHS & SPCA is among the first few shelters in the state of California to enact a plan to reach this monumental goal.
The Inland Valley Humane Society & SPCA is located at 500 Humane Way, Pomona. Hours for the event Saturday are 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. For more information, visit www.ivhsspca.org or call (909) 623-9777.
