At approximately 3:30pm on Wednesday, a black Mercedes drifted over the center divider on Wheeler in La Verne side swiping a Volkswagen sedan and then a tree before coming to rest on a private park adjacent to the street. According to witnesses there were several young women and one dog in the Mercedes and a single male occupant in the VW. One woman was injured and was taken to a local hospital.
