Three residential burglaries in north Claremont
Three residential burglaries occurred in north Claremont on Thursday, March 26.
The first residential burglary occurred in the 3900 block of Northampton Avenue and was reported at 3:14 p.m. The resident reported that two male adults broke into the residence by kicking in the front door. At the time of the burglary, a 20-year-old male resident was home with his headphones on. He heard two loud bangs and came to the front of the residence where he saw two suspects fleeing the location. The first suspect is described as a black male with a dark complexion between the age of 20 to 30 years old with dreadlocks or braids. The second suspect is described as a black male with a dark complexion, 20 to 30 years old, standing 6 feet tall, weighing 160 to 180 pounds with dark hair. At the time of the crime, he was wearing a red long-sleeve shirt, light-colored jeans and tennis shoes. The crime occurred between 2:45 and 2:53 p.m. An unknown vehicle was heard leaving northbound from the location.
The second residential burglary occurred in the 2200 block of Villa Maria Road and was reported at 3:15 p.m. The suspects entered the residence by smashing a front window that is enclosed by a small courtyard. Once inside the home, the suspects ransacked the house and stole an unknown amount of jewelry. The resident left his home at approximately 1 p.m. He returned at 3 p.m. and discovered the crime.
The third reported residential burglary occurred in the 2200 block of Navarro Drive. The suspects entered the residence by kicking in the front door. Once inside, the suspects ransacked the home and stole an unknown amount of jewelry and cash.
