CHS soccer wins propel boys to national ranking

Boys soccer continues to be the bright star in winter sports for Claremont High School with two more wins this week, propelling the Pack to an impressive 17th California state rank and 54th national rank.

Last Friday, the boys defeated Diamond Bar at home by a score of 2-0. The game’s top performance came from junior Jack Kolodge, with one goal and one assist. Senior Justin Munevar also scored, and senior Digby Strogen had an assist.

On Wednesday, the Wolfpack once again won in front of a home crowd, defeating Glendora 1-0. Senior Tomas Negritto scored the game’s only goal, assisted by Ibraheem Hafuda.

The two victories bring the boys’ record to 14-1-4 overall and 7-0-1 in the Palomares League.
