Claremont Police are searching for a man involved in an armed robbery Monday night.

Just after 9 p.m., the man entered the Chevron Gas Station at 860 S. Indian Hill Blvd. and held a chrome handgun at the cashier, demanding cash from the register. He took off through the parking lot with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to a news release. The robber is described as a Hispanic male between 20-30 years old, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and 160 pounds, wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt and blue pants. Any information should be reported to the Claremont Police Department at 399-5411.
