City kicks off holidays with tree-lighting ceremony
The city of Claremont welcomes all residents to an evening filled with live music, festive storefronts, a tree-lighting ceremony and more.
The annual Holiday Promenade, to be held this Friday, December 7 from 5 to 8 p.m., will include a skating rink at Indian Hill Boulevard and Second Street, photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus at city hall, a tree-lighting ceremony at the Depot with musical performances by the CHS Chamber Singers, and shops and restaurants hosting holiday cheer and scavenger hunt stops. A variety of entertainment will be available throughout the Village, including carolers in the Public Plaza.
This year’s schedule of events is as follows:
Depot Main Stage
5 to 6 p.m.: Carolers
6 to 6:30 p.m.: Tree-Lighting
6 to 7:30 p.m.: CHS Chamber Singers
City Hall
5 to 6 p.m. and 7 to 8 p.m.: Photos with Santa & Mrs. Claus
5 to 8 p.m.: Moultrie Academy Performance
Corner of Indian Hill Boulevard & Second Street
1 to 9 p.m.: Skating Rink
$5 per person ages 5 and over. Also available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, December 8.
