Very low turnout at community forum for superintendent search
The Claremont Unified School District Board of Education invites all members of the community to meet with the superintendent search firm advisers, Dr. Deidrich and Dr. Novotney of Dave Long &?Associates tonight, Thursday, February 23, from 7 to 8:30 p.m in the Santa Fe Room at the Hughes Community Center to discuss the specific traits, skills, abilities and experience desired in the new superintendent.
This is the second community forum offered by the district; last night’s forum at El Roble Intermediate School drew very poor attendance with only 10 residents gathering in the muli-purpose room.
The board previously selected Dave Long & Associates Executive Search Services as its consultant to assist the board in its search for a new superintendent.
For anyone who is unable to attend tonight’s forum, questionnaires are available at district schools and the CUSD district office, 170 W. San Jose Ave.. Completed questionnaires must be submitted no later than the end of today by email directly to the advisers at claremontusd@aol.com, or sent to William E. Diedrich, Ph.D. or Patricia Novotney, Ed.D. c/o Liz Jefferson, Claremont Unified School District, 170 W. San Jose Ave., Claremont, CA 91711.
