On Sunday, October 10, an open dialogue on faith and race will be hosted by the Spiritual Assembly of the Baha’is of Claremont at Blaisdell Park.

Beginning at 4 p.m., the two-hour event will invite residents to take part in a discussion centered around Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s ideal, “prepare to participate.” The event is described as “a small group discussion on the topic of how to continually widen the circle of participation in the race unity and justice work,” according to Nancy Scott, an organizer for this event.

The gathering and dialogue are meant to create “a space for deeper consideration of the role of the faith community and their friends in promoting racial justice and unity in this country.”
