The second Art Walk of 2022 will take place this Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. Various artists will be showcasing their works across Claremont and its businesses, with a full lineup listed below.

• Bunny Gunner, 230 W. Bonita Ave., will be showcasing the work of Raul Pizarro. The exhibit, titled “Eternal Spring,” is “a series dedicated to the pivotal moments we sometimes forget as adults. It’s a collection of awakenings to the immensity of life by remembering the small spark some through music and nature,” a news release said. “This collection is inspired by the incredible gift that being alive brings. May we always be able to see the wonders of life in the existence around us.”

Though mask guidelines have been eased in Los Angeles County, Bunny Gunner will require guests to wear masks and will limit the number of people inside the gallery.

• Studio Claremont, 260 W. Bonita Ave., will feature artists Cindy Rinne, Toti O’Brien, Denise Kraemer and Elizabeth Carr in an exhibit titled “Accents.” “This is a fiber arts show, some weaving some quilt arts and some hand stitching. Our stories are all different but we have all added interesting accents to our work,” a news release said. Residents who purchased a mask at Studio C within the last two years may see art on the wall that matches their mask. “We have turned the remnants into art,” the news release read.
• The Claremont Chamber of Commerce, 205 Yale Ave., will host artist Juan Thorp and his exhibit titled, “Machines,” and an intro to NFT’s. Thorp grew up working at his family’s machine shop, learning to operate CNC machines and giant drill presses.

“This environment definitely inspired my current work of machines and vehicles. I design my own machines now,” Thorp said in a statement. “I have been working on a series of music machines. These paintings will be converted into digital graphics by being re-drawn in computer design software. [Then] sound and animation will be added so these can be converted into multimedia digital works.”

He concluded that “eventually these ‘sound machines’ will end up as NFTs, non-fungible tokens.”

• Square I, 110 Harvard Ave., will be open during the Art Walk from 6 to 9 p.m.
• The Claremont Museum of Art, 200 W. First St. in the Claremont Depot, will continue showing the exhibit, “John Frame: Mephistopheles and the Swan Girl.” Stop by for a wine reception and Vintage Music, presented in loving memory of David Reisman, according to a news release.

“This dramatic exhibition presents work by widely-known artist John Frame based on his production designs for a 2018 staging of Gounod’s Faust. It also includes Frame’s work on the Academy Award winning short film “The Swan Girl, 2016,” a news release said. “Both projects relate to the Faust story and have continued to exert a strong influence on Frame’s work.” This exhibit has been extended through April 24.

• Neon Moon Art Supplies, 317 W. First St., will show a selection of monotypes by Upland native and artist Roxanne Tamberen at an exhibit titled, “Motorin.” Tamberen was educated at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena and majored in painting.

“Roxanne spent her childhood observing middle class suburban happenings. The garage and driveway were the stage of weekends working on the car, kids getting on their bikes to ride with friends, or teens running home just a bit past curfew,” it continued. “These stages were framed by the sun setting while the ever changing, yet always similar plays would come to a close, another day in suburbia come to a close, and slumber will bring a new series of events which can be viewed only by the actors, the neighbors, or the occasional passerby.”

• At the Claremont Forum Bookshop and Gallery, 586 W. First St., artist Cheryl Adriano will showcase her exhibit, “Fiber Arts.” Adriano is a fourth-generation quilter who, early on, “found herself deviating from the traditional into improvisational work.” Her stitch work can be seen not only in her elaborate quilts, but also in her intricate fiber pieces and large wall weavings, according to a news release.
