The City of Claremont invites residents to take home free mulch next Saturday, April 23. Mulch will be available on a first come, first served basis beginning at 7 a.m. The distribution will run until 2 p.m.

Residents must bring their own equipment to load mulch as staff will not be available to assist with loading.

The distribution will be held at the Metrolink parking lot on the corner of First St. and College Ave. Residents must enter the west end of the lot and travel east to access mulch. Access will not be allowed at the east end of the parking lot.

Chipped tree mulch is a great way to repurpose tree waste and divert chippings from the landfill, according to the city.
