Art Walk returns for June

The fifth Claremont Art Walk of 2022 will take place this Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. The full lineup is as follows:

  • Making its Art Walk debut, the Crescent Tree Corp, located at 206 W. Bonita Ave., Suite #G (in Harvard Square) will present T. Pacini’s exhibit, “Liquid Visions,” an “abstract photography of atmospheric compositions of liquid, light and reflection,” a news release said.

  • Bunny Gunner, 230 W. Bonita Ave., will display Susan Ruiz’s exhibit, “Our Stories,” which showcases her works in the encaustic and mixed media.

  • In The Button Box Museum, located in the walkway outside Bunny Gunner, Anne Seltzer’s “Studio Buttons” will be on display for all to enjoy during and after the Art Walk. Seltzer used a variety of materials to create her own studio buttons. The display will be open for viewing 24/7 following the Art Walk.

  • Inside Studio C, 260 W. Bonita Ave., Elizabeth Carr’s exhibit, “Finding Acceptance,” will be displayed. Carr, who has been a painter for almost 30 years and a gallery owner for six, used paint and collages to create the featured mixed media pieces. Refreshments will be served.
    • “This show is about finding balance. Finding a way to create symmetry out of the chaos of torn and cut paper and paint,” a news release said. “Elizabeth puts elements together that don’t obviously go together and makes them look like they belong. Finding acceptance is about belonging in a place where you don’t necessarily feel comfortable.”

  • At the Claremont Chamber of Commerce, 205 Yale Ave., Elisa Arancibia’s exhibit, “Chasing the light, a Plein Air Painter Journey,” will be on display. The Peruvian painter discovered her passion for art at an early age and studied at the Museum of Art of Lima in Peru.
    • Elisa has been a resident of California since 2001 and, loves the beauty of the California landscapes and seascapes. In 2013, Elisa embarked on a mission to accomplish her dream of becoming a better oil painter and to hone her skills as a Plein Air Painter by joining Plein Air Artists of Riverside, a group from the Riverside Art Museum. Later, she founded the Inland Empire Plein Air Painters Society and has studied with several noted painters, including Kevin McPherson, Karen Werner, Richard Robinson, Jane Hunt and Robert Hagan.

  • Square I, 110 Harvard Ave., will be showing artist Jenny Shaw’s exhibit, the “Dancer Series.”

  • Sonja Stump Photography, 135 W. First St., will feature exhibits from four distinct women artists: Arzu Kastal’s “Face of a Woman,” Tracy Trammell Giannos’s “Waves and Wonders Art,” Quincey Grace’s “About Face,” and Niloofar Guidfar’s “The Silk Road.”
