Our Lady of the Assumption Church’s OLA Fiesta, at 435 Berkeley Ave., Claremont, returns the first weekend in October with family-friendly entertainment, food, and old-fashioned game booths. Bingo, carnival rides, and a beer garden are also part of the festivities.

The event takes place Friday, September 30 from 5 to 10 p.m., Saturday, October 1, from 2 to 10 p.m., and Sunday, October 2, from 2 to 8 p.m.

Live music will include Heartache Tonight on Friday, A.C.E. on Saturday, and Suave on Sunday. A dance floor will be open and intermittent “cake walks” for prizes donated by local merchants will also take place.

Food prepared by OLA community members will include burritos, hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza, French fries, cotton candy, popcorn, and the “potato tornado,” as well as Vietnamese and Filipino fare. The beer garden will serve wine, craft beer and margaritas.

Parish volunteers will staff all booths, and a fundraising drawing will offer attendees a chance to win $10,000 and other prizes. Call (909) 626-3596 for information.
