OPARC’s HeartBEAT music festival coming October 15
On October 15, Montclair-based nonprofit OPARC will host its second annual HeartBEAT music festival, again at Pomona College’s Sontag Greek Theatre.
The community is invited to sing, dance, mingle and support OPARC at the music festival, which is also a concert fundraiser. The Rolling Heartbreakers, a Rolling Stones/Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers tribute band, will headline this year’s festival, and the MLC band will return to play hits from the 1960s to today.
The Sontag is located behind the Seaver Theatre, 300 E. Bonita Ave., Claremont.
The goal of the event is to provide a fun outing and make Claremont aware of the impact OPARC has on the community.
“OPARC exists to make training, employment, and social opportunities available and to be the champion for thousands of people with disabilities in the Inland Empire and Los Angeles County,” reads the nonprofit’s mission statement.
A recap of last year’s festival can be found on YouTube.
More details are still to come but those with questions about the event or OPARC can visit oparc.org or call (909) 985-3116.
