The City of Claremont’s 2023 free family movies in the park series begins Thursday, July 6, with a 7:30 p.m. screening of “Beauty and the Beast” (1991) at Lewis Park, 881 Syracuse Dr.

The series continues with “Puss in Boots: The Last Wish” (2022) July 13 at June Vail Park, at the corner of Grand Avenue and Bluefield Drive. On July 20 Wheeler Park, 626 Vista Dr., hosts a screening of “Minions: The Rise of Gru” (2022); “Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory” (1971) screens at Cahuilla Park, 1717 N. Indian Hill Blvd., on July 27. The series concludes on National Night Out Tuesday, August 1 at Memorial Park, 840 N. Indian Hill Blvd., Claremont, with a screening of “DC League of Super-Pets” (2022). All showtimes are 7:30 p.m.
