Books needed for special Prison Library Project venture

Claremont Forum’s Prison Library Project is asking for help in supplying textbooks and study materials to 32 inmates at Pelican Bay State Prison.

The inmates aim to begin a study group with the goal of obtaining their commercial driver’s licenses, but lack updated books to prep.

Visit bookshop.org/wishlists to view the full list of requested books and to make a purchase. Donors can also buy books on the list and drop them off at the bookshop, 586 W. First St., Claremont.

The Prison Library Project is also accepting donations for its postage drive, an ongoing fundraiser that covers postage to send books nationwide. Learn more or donate at givebutter.com/34xcZc.
