• Happy Kwanzaa from the Courier! Kwanzaa is an African-American and Pan-African celebration of family, community and culture that runs from December 26 through January 1.

• The Joslyn Center, 660 N. Mountain Ave., Claremont, will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday through Friday for the elderly nutrition program only. Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. The Joslyn Center and Blaisdell Community Center, 440 S. College Ave., will resume regular hours and classes on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
