CalBG bird festival set for February 18

California Botanic Garden, 1500 N. College Ave., and Pomona Valley Audubon Society will host a 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. family bird festival Sunday, February 18.

The day will feature interactive and educational activities, crafts, live birds and info booths from International Bird Rescue, Alf Museum of Paleontology, Cal Poly Pomona Urban Wildlife Lab, San Dimas Canyon Nature Center, California Condors Wild and Free, and a local rescue organization, all aimed at teaching visitors about birding, those frequently seen in Southern California, their anatomy and adaptation, and more. Attendees can also participate in the great backyard bird count.

The festival is included with CalBG admission February 18. CalBG members and children under 3 are free, non-member adults are $10, seniors and students are $6, and children ages 3 to 12 are $4. Tickets are at tinyurl.com/birdfest2024tickets. Visit calbg.org for more details.
