Cal Poly Pomona offers free tax preparation
Cal Poly Pomona alumni and students certified by the Internal Revenue Service provide free income tax assistance from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Saturday through April 13 at Pomona Public Library, 625 S. Garey Ave. The program, sponsored by the IRS and California Franchise Tax Board, has been active since 2015 and resulted in more than $5.3 million in tax refunds.
Taxpayers, single or married, must have a gross income under $60,000 during the tax year. The threshold does not apply to active-duty military or veterans.
