Claremont Art Walk, April 2024

The fourth Claremont Art Walk of 2024 runs from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, April 6. Here’s what’s on view:

  • Ahmad Shariff Art Gallery, 107 Harvard Ave., hosts “Spring Cleaning Canvas: A Silent Auction Event.”

 

 

  • Bunny Gunner, 230 W. Bonita Ave., showcases “Edible Petals,” by botanical artist Patricia Mark.

 

  • Casa 425, 425 W. First St., continues “It Just Needed to Be Said,” by Gorman Bentley.

 

  • Claremont Chamber of Commerce, 205 Yale Ave., displays drawings, paintings, mixed media, photography, ceramics and sculptures from Claremont High School students in its “Annual Claremont Chamber Student Art Show.”

 

  • The Claremont Forum Bookshop, 586 W. First St., is home to mixed media artist Troy Guard’s exhibit, “Works Unknown.”

 

  • Claremont Heritage, 840 N. Indian Hill Blvd., opens “From the Archives,” acquisitions from architect Foster Rhodes Jackson, the Garner family, artist Bob Smith and more, at the Ginger Elliott Gallery.

 

  • “This is not a chair.” continues at Claremont Lewis Museum of Art, 200 W. First St., through April 21. The museum also hosts “Maloof It Off the Roof,” a homage to Sam Maloof with performative destruction from 6 to 7 p.m.

 

  • Crescent Tree Corp, 206 W. Bonita Ave., Suite 2-N, lines its walls with “Alicia Cheatham: So Far Sprung.”

 

  • The Laemmle Claremont 5 Theatre, 450 W. Second St., features Marciano Martinez.

 

  • Pomona Valley Art Association, 317 W. First St., exhibits works by Glenna Gaffney and Sandra Grimley.

 

  • Studio C, 260 W. Bonita Ave., begins “MIRROR MIRROR,” a showcase of mirror-themed works by Gretchen Butler, Elizabeth Carr, Helen Feller, Chris Frausto, Jacqueline Knell, Gina Lawson, Toti O’Brien, Ginger Platt, Heidi Schuyler, Anne Seltzer, Cindi Smith, Gale Sorensen, and Shelli Weldon.
