Annual CHS senior walk reestablishes old connections

Chaparral Elementary School students react after a CHS senior mentioned a popular teacher at the annual senior walk event on Tuesday.

Claremont High School seniors took a nostalgic trip back to their elementary schools on Tuesday as part of the annual senior walk day.

CHS seniors wearing their caps and gowns, current elementary school students, parents, administrators, and teachers took part in the joyous tradition at each of Claremont Unified School District’s seven elementary schools. The seniors reminisced and offered advice to the kids at their former schools, including, “Enjoy being a kid and don’t worry too much,” and “Just have fun and find something you love to do.” When they mentioned a school activity or teacher, the kids erupted in applause.
